Donation policy

1. Introduction

A Chance for Change Foundation (“the Foundation”) is committed to fostering trust and transparency with our donors and supporters. This policy outlines the terms and conditions related to donations, cancellations, and refund requests to ensure clarity and accountability in our financial transactions.

2. DONATIONS

2.1 General Terms

  • Donations to the Foundation are voluntary and made with the understanding that the Foundation has full discretion and control over the use of all donated funds.
  • Donations may be designated for a specific program or given as unrestricted funds to be used where they are most needed.

The Foundation will issue an official receipt for all donations received.

2.2 Methods of Donation

Donations can be made through various channels, including but not limited to:

  • Online via our official website.
  • Bank transfers or direct deposits.
  • Mobile money transfers.

Cash or check contributions made at our offices.

3. CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS

3.1 Cancellation Policy

  • One-time donations are generally non-refundable, unless a request is made due to an error, such as an incorrect amount or duplicate transaction.
  • Monthly or recurring donors may cancel their contributions at any time by contacting our support team at least five (5) business days before the next scheduled payment.

3.2 Refund Policy

Refunds may be issued at the discretion of the Foundation under the following conditions:

  • A donation was made unintentionally or in error (e.g., incorrect amount or duplicate payment).
  • A donor’s financial circumstances change significantly, making it necessary to request a refund.
  • The Foundation is unable to use the donation for its intended purpose.

Refund Request Procedure

  • Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing within 30 days of the donation date and should include:
    • Donor’s full name and contact information.
    • Date and amount of donation.
    • Method of payment.
    • Reason for the refund request.
  • Refund requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days using the original method of payment.

4. DONOR RIGHTS AND PRIVACY

  • The Foundation respects the privacy of all donors and ensures that personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • Donors have the right to receive timely updates on how their contributions are utilized.

Any donor who wishes to remain anonymous may indicate so at the time of donation.

5. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

The Foundation reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. Updates will be posted on our official website, and donors will be notified of any significant changes.
