John Sakala
Executive Director
John Sakala is a dynamic NGO executive with a proven track record in nonprofit leadership, strategy development, and community empowerment. As the Executive Director of A Chance for Change Foundation, he has been instrumental in transforming the organization from its inception into a thriving force for social change.
With a background in Demography and Development Studies from the University of Zambia and specialized training in NGO management, John brings a wealth of expertise in program implementation and sustainable development. His visionary leadership drives initiatives that uplift communities, promote economic empowerment, and foster long-term resilience.
Beyond his foundation’s work, John actively engages in shaping policies that advance social equity and sustainable development. His passion for transformative change ensures that A Chance for Change Foundation remains at the forefront of addressing societal challenges. Committed to creating lasting impact, he continues to champion innovative solutions that empower individuals and strengthen communities.

Wakunuma Lishomwa
Director of Finance
Ms. Wakunuma Lishomwa is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in the non-profit sector. As Director of Finance at A Chance for Change Foundation, she ensures financial sustainability, strategic resource allocation, and accountability, playing a key role in advancing the organization’s mission.
Holding a degree in Demography and Development Studies from the University of Zambia, Ms. Lishomwa is passionate about social change, particularly in improving the livelihoods of women and marginalized communities. Her expertise in financial management, compliance, and budgeting strengthens the foundation’s impact by optimizing resource utilization.
Beyond finance, she is a dedicated advocate for gender equality and women’s economic empowerment, championing initiatives that provide financial literacy and entrepreneurial support. Her leadership ensures the foundation remains financially robust, transparent, and positioned for long-term success in driving sustainable development.

Walufu Evans
Director of Programs
Walufu Evans is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP)® and PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)® with extensive experience in project management, business strategy, and nonprofit leadership. He has successfully led ICT, social impact, and business innovation projects, ensuring strategic execution, stakeholder engagement, and resource optimization.
As a Business Strategist and Programs Director at A Chance for Change Foundation, Walufu develops and implements strategic plans to drive sustainable impact in poverty alleviation initiatives. He has also managed digital transformation and research projects, demonstrating expertise in Agile methodologies, strategic planning, and risk management.
Walufu holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Project Planning & Management and an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with additional certifications from Oxford University, PMI, and the University of Pretoria.
Aa a member of PMI, APM, IACD, and IASP, he is passionate about leveraging technology and strategy to create sustainable solutions.

Max Robertson
Relationship Manager (Europe)
Max Robertsson is a seasoned relationship management professional specializing in international partnerships and stakeholder engagement. As the Relationship Manager for Europe at A Chance for Change Foundation, he plays a key role in strengthening the foundation’s presence across Sweden and the broader European region.
With a background in legal education from Sweden, Max possesses deep expertise in international regulations, compliance, and partnership management within the non-profit sector. His diplomatic skills and ability to navigate complex global networks make him invaluable in securing strategic alliances and fostering sustainable collaborations.
Passionate about global development and social impact, Max is dedicated to expanding the foundation’s reach and influence. His leadership in international relations supports the foundation’s mission to create lasting opportunities for communities worldwide. Through his efforts, A Chance for Change Foundation continues to build meaningful connections, driving positive change and enhancing its international footprint.

Oscar Donderer
Ass. Relationship Manager (Europe)
Oscar Donderer is a dedicated professional supporting A Chance for Change Foundation’s international partnerships in Europe, including Sweden, where he is based. As the Assistant to the Relationship Manager, he collaborates closely with Max Robertsson to strengthen relationships with key stakeholders and expand the foundation’s presence.
With a background in Legal Studies, Oscar brings expertise in international compliance, partnership agreements, and stakeholder engagement. His analytical skills and deep understanding of legal frameworks help ensure the foundation’s growth aligns with global regulations.
Passionate about global development and nonprofit collaboration, he plays a vital role in securing partnerships and fostering sustainable relationships that drive the foundation’s mission forward. His work is instrumental in expanding networks, promoting international cooperation, and ensuring effective collaboration with organizations across Europe.
