Our Vision 2030

To reduce poverty in Zambia by at least 0.13%, lifting over 5,000 individuals out of poverty through sustainable economic opportunities, education, and partnerships with local and international organizations, traditional leaders, and local authorities

We believe that empowering communities through targeted poverty alleviation efforts will create lasting change across the seven provinces in Zambia. We will know this is true when the poverty rate across these provinces has been reduced by at least 0.13%, with over 5000 individuals lifted out of poverty.

We believe that sustainable economic opportunities, education, and healthcare access are critical to reducing poverty. We will know this is true when more than 1000 households have gained sustainable livelihoods, and access to basic education and healthcare services has improved for over 5000 people.

We believe that partnerships with local and international organizations, traditional leaders, and local authorities will amplify our impact. We will know this is true when we have partnered with at least 10 bodies to implement development projects, reaching over 5000 individuals collectively.

We believe that our primary beneficiaries, those living on less than $2 per day must be empowered to achieve self-sufficiency. We will know this is true when at least 50% of the participants in our poverty alleviation efforts are women and youth in rural areas, successfully creating independent and sustainable economic growth.

We believe that by fostering collaboration and resilience within communities, the foundation will be seen as a catalyst for change in Zambia. We will know this is true when our programs are recognized nationally as models for effective poverty reduction, and community leaders actively support our initiatives.

We believe that we can be recognized as a leading force for good in Zambia. We will know this is true when “A Chance for Change Foundation” is known as the top organization for empowering rural communities to get out of poverty, creating sustainable community-driven solutions, and promoting self-reliance across all our project areas.

We believe that building internal capacity is essential for scaling our impact. We will know this is true when we have expanded by opening three (3) new offices in our target provinces each staffed with a qualified team and serving our target communities effectively.

We believe in the power of technology to transform poverty reduction efforts in Zambia. We will know this is true when we have successfully launched a mobile application that serves as a hub for farmers and entrepreneurs, allowing them to market their products, access training, and connect with suppliers, buyers, financial institutions, and potential investors with over 10,000 users actively engaged on the platform.
